Why now?
The EU Data Act has changed the framework for data generated by connected products. Under the conditions set out in the regulation, a user may ask for certain in-scope data to be made available to a third party. Repair and maintenance are among the potential aftermarket uses. RepairGraph is testing whether this framework can create practical value before a repair visit.
This does not mean that every fault history record or all manufacturer diagnostics are accessible. Availability depends on the appliance, the data actually held and the applicable conditions.
